void. If this puppy/dog is ever used for breeding, this contract immediately becomes null and void.

This puppy was examined at Moosehead Trail Veterinary Hospital on _____/_____/_________.
This puppy/dog is expected to take up to two weeks, possibly more, depending on age and temperament, before he/she becomes familiar with his/her new surroundings. It is perfectly natural if he/she chooses not to be sociable for a few days. In some cases, they will refuse food. Offer wet food, boiled chicken etc to make sure they are eating. Loving care and attention will aide in overcoming shyness in their new surroundings.
This puppy is guaranteed to be healthy, as near as the eye can see, and has had age appropriate shots and wormings. It is understood that the Buyer will take this puppy to his/her Veterinarian within TWO(2) business days from the date of sale listed above - if this condition is not met, this guarantee immediately becomes null and void. If this puppy is found to be unsatisfactory by the examining Veterinarian, the Buyer agrees to return the puppy to the Seller within 72 hours from the diagnosis - there are absolutely NO exceptions to this condition. The ORIGINAL letter from the examining Veterinarian(address/phone number required) documenting why the puppy is not acceptable and ALL original paperwork that was given with the puppy at the time of sale must accompany the puppy or there will be NO refund/replacement. The Seller reserves the right to have the puppy examined by her Veterinarian(s). Providing these conditions are met, the Seller will replace the puppy with a puppy of equal value, if one is available. Note: If the Buyer chooses to take a puppy of greater value as a replacement, the Buyer understands that he/she will have to pay the added price difference. If there are no puppies of equal value available, the Seller will refund the original purchase price of the puppy. NOTE: Seller DOES NOT warrant against Coccidia, Giardia or the presence of worms, which may be found in any healthy puppy. Many puppies are prone to outbreak of either Coccidia and/or Giardia under stressful circumstances. The symptoms can arise in a 12 hour period, and can not always be prevented by the Seller, because there are no signs until the puppy is stressed, and their immune system drops. In respect to a dead puppy, the Buyer must notify the Seller immediately and provide the Seller with a necropsy report from a licensed Veterinarian (original copy - phone number and address must be included) indicating that this puppy died from a health problem that existed on or before the receipt of the puppy by the Buyer - a photo of the deceased puppy must be included in the necropsy report from the examining Veterinarian. If it is determined that the puppy died due to neglect/abuse by the Buyer, NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND WILL BE GIVEN.
The puppy shot(s) and wormings have been given by us(with the exception of Rabies, if applicable). We are NOT responsible should an overload occur due to your Veterinarian doubting our records, which can make the puppy very sick or even possibly cause death. It is also agreed that the Buyer will not allow this puppy to have more than one vaccine per Veterinarian visit. We do not use vaccines with Leptospirosis included due to too many bad reactions to it - PLEASE discuss this with your Veterinarian. We are NOT responsible for any vaccine overloads or any reactions from any vaccines that you and your Veterinarian have chosen to do. We highly recommend that you choose a Veterinarian that is skilled in treating Toy Breed dogs. Buyer agrees NOT to take this puppy to high risk areas(Pet Stores, Dog Parks etc.), or put the puppy down on any random grass or floors(including the floor at your Vets)until the puppy vaccination schedule(3 shots) has been completed.
No other guarantees are given or implied with the exception of hereditary defects that develop by one year of age that are life threatening or that will require extensive lifelong treatment to maintain life. It is understood that the Seller will be notified by phone and email immediately upon diagnosis and the original written statement from a licensed Veterinarian or Specialist, complete with phone number and address must be mailed to the Seller within 48 hours of diagnosis. Buyer agrees to return this puppy, along with ALL original and updated paperwork(signed back to the Seller) within one week from the diagnosis and the Seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of equal value when one becomes available. It is understood by the Buyer that if he/she chooses to take a puppy of greater value as a replacement, he/she will have to pay the added price difference. It is also understood that under no circumstances will a replacement puppy be given if; you do not return ALL original and updated paperwork(signed back to the Seller), if this puppy was not spayed/neutered before 8 months of age, if this puppy has been used for breeding, if this puppy has been neglected, abused or has not been kept up on Veterinarian care or Veterinarian recommended vaccinations etc., so please keep these records.
Seller DOES NOT warrant against the following: Hernias, Cherry Eye, Skin Conditions, Cryptorchidism, Hypoglycemia, Molera, Collapsing Trachea & Luxating Patellas. We also DO NOT guarantee size/weight, ears, teeth/bite, temperament or coat color/texture/length - these are beyond my control after the pup leaves here.
It is understood that the Seller is NEVER responsible for ANY expenses incurred by the Buyer. Buyer also understands that there are NO CASH REFUNDS after the first two days from the date of sale(for medical reasons only). It is also understood that ALL shipping/travel expenses TO AND FROM the Seller are the responsibility of the Buyer.
It is agreed that if at any time during the life of this puppy/dog the Buyer can not, for any reason, keep him/her and is not able to find the puppy/dog a suitable new home, this puppy/dog will be returned to the Seller. It is understood that NO money will be refunded. It is agreed by the Buyer that should this puppy/dog be returned to the Seller, ALL original and updated paperwork will be returned with the dog/puppy and signed back to the Seller. The Seller will attempt to re-sell the puppy/dog if possible. It is understood by the Buyer that the Seller is under NO obligation to re-sell the puppy/dog for any specific amount. Re-sale price of the puppy will depend on age, gender, training, market conditions etc. and the puppy/dog may have to be placed for little or no money to get him/her into a new home. The Seller will forward all but $200.00(Two Hundred) from the re-sale of the puppy to the Buyer after the puppy/dog has been in his/her new home for a minimum of 14 days. It is understood that any money that the Seller has to spend to "fix" a returned puppy(Veterinarian/medical expenses) will also be taken out of any money refunded to the Buyer.
It is agreed that if the Buyer chooses to place this puppy/dog into a new home, he/she will immediately notify the Seller and agrees to forward the name, address and phone number of the new owners to the Seller.
Buyer guarantees that he/she will not ever sell or give this puppy, or any offspring from this puppy, to a Broker, Pet Store, Puppy Mill, Animal Shelter, Rescue, Experimental Lab or any other similar situation. If it is ever found by the Seller that the Buyer has done so, the Buyer will incur a $1000.00 penalty fee for each offense found and will be obligated to pay ALL Court Costs & Attorney Fees incurred by the Seller.
It is understood that this puppy is to live primarily inside the home. Buyer also agrees to provide this puppy with regular veterinarian care, medical attention if needed, proper grooming/ bathing, water and a nutritious diet. If it is ever found that this puppy/dog is being neglected or abused, the Seller will immediately seize this puppy/dog at NO cost to the Seller.
This contract is between the original Buyer/Seller only and applies to the original puppy only - it is non-transferable to another person or to another puppy. It is understood that any legal matters will be conducted in the State/ County that the Seller resides. All States are asked to accept this contract as legally binding and enforceable.

Note: Dry and/or soaked dry food and fresh water needs to be available 24 hours a day for young Chihuahua puppies. Small amounts of wet food should be offered through out the day for puppies that are fussy and need extra. It is recommended that you keep your puppy on the same food we are feeding him/her during the first few weeks as this is a major adjustment time for them and changing their food can add to any stress they may have. If you choose to change their food at a later date, please do so slowly.
